What do you know?

Hello students. I would like to know what information you found when you looked at the websites and Learning Objects. I really need to start putting animals in my zoo soon!

I would like you to tell me what your animal looks like. What covering does it have? Can you please tell me about any special features that it has? How much does your animal weight and what is its height? Does it have any methods of protection or defence like spines or venom?

Skyping with the Vet

Hello again students! I heard that you spoke to a veterinarian today about your animals. Can you told me what he told you? I am just about to make the different animal enclosures now!

What are the main things that your animal needs to survive? What would happen if it did not have these things?

Australia Zoo

It's Professor Mimmal again! I heard that your class went for a trip to the Australia Zoo. Can you please tell me what habitat you animal lives in? What is the climate that it lives in? How do its features relate to the habitat that it lives in? For example, a camel has a hump on its back (which stores fluid) because it sometimes lives in habitats where there is not much water. I know that you all know how to write a recount so can you please write one explaining your trip to the zoo.

Animal Groups!

Hello students! I am interested to know what you learnt in the Expert Jigsaw Activity today that you completed with your peers. What do you know about animal groups? What are they and how many are there? I have heard that there are about six groups. What are some examples of animals within each group?
Thank you so much for your help!

Congratulations!

Thank you so much for your wonderful help students. I now have a good idea about what animal should go where is my zoo! How was your Parent Information Evening? Can you please write down two things that you thought went well and one thing that you think you could have improved.
